ES-KO’s Construction Business Development efforts have resulted in the construction of a bungalow at the Hotel Royal Decameron Baobab in La Somone in Senegal. The structure, comprising 4 rooms, will be a new wood prefabricated solution (« Blockhaus »). Hotels facilities and wood systems expand ES-KO’s range of products and services.

ES-KO will be exhibiting on Stand D41 at AidEx 2011, an international conference and exhibition dedicated to humanitarian aid and emergency relief, at Brussels Expo on 19-20 October. We are designing and building a primary and elementary school for 200 children, thanks to the joint cooperation of the Business Development team (Corporate Commercial) and the Construction BU. This project is financed by « Monaco Collectif Haïti », created at the request of HSH Prince Albert II, following the 12 January 2010 earthquake and will be delivered to the International Cooperation Office of Monaco.

ES-KO sponsored the 1st Model United Nations (MUN) in Monaco on 4 March, organized by the International University of Monaco in partnership with the International Cooperation Office of Monaco. Participants from business schools role-played as diplomats representing nations or NGOs in a simulated session of the United Nations General Assembly.

ES-KO’s Catering BU is back in Cyprus serving the UN mission, UNFICYP. ES-KO was awarded the contract for the provision of catering, cleaning, ground maintenance and road sweeping services and now serves a multinational, multi contingent force of Argentinean, British, Slovakian, Hungarian and civilian UN personnel in 7 different locations.

Afghanistan (Herat Airport)

17 February 2011: the first plane lands on the new ES-KO constructed runway. Herat Airport’s runway extension improved airport capacity and Herat is now the second largest airport in the country after Kabul International Airport.
